Valley of Flowers, nestled in Uttarakhand, is counted among the most scenic destinations of the country. You can reach Valley of flowers from Delhi through buses, cabs and personal transport. The diverse range of flora found in the region attracts nature lovers and botanists from across the globe. Valley of flowers is also home to a number of rare and endangered species. As per the legends, this is the place from where Lord Hanuman got the sanjeevani buti for Lord Lakshmana. The sparkling water bodies, colourful flowers, floral pastures and mountains in the backdrop makes for a picturesque setting.

Location of Valley of Flowers

This beautiful destination is located at a distance of 520 km from Delhi and approximately 300 km from Rishikesh. Govindghat is located at a distance of approximately 20 km from Badrinath and is the starting point for the trek to Valley of Flowers. The nearest airport to Valley of Flowers is the Jolly Grant Airport, which is around 250 km from Delhi. Flights from Delhi to Dehradun ply on a daily basis.

You can also book a cab from Delhi to Chamoli to make your travel even more convenient and easy. The nearest railway station to reach this valley is in Rishikesh from where you can take a cab to reach Govindghat.

Opening and Closing Dates and Timings

Every year Valley of flowers opens on 1st june and remains open till 4th October. You can enter the park at 7:00 in the morning and stay till 5 pm. The months of July and August are the best months to visit this mind-blowing valley.
