I am going to Nainital from 21 June to 26 June 2013 with my wife and 3 yrs old Son. Is it still raining? Should I go or cancel the trip? Please advise

Due to ongoing unpredictable weather conditions in Uttarakhand, it would be better to cancel the tickets. Though, according to recent weather reports, the weather is set to improve but one can never be too sure. Since you are travelling with a child, it would be wise to forgo a holiday to Nainital.

Also, since it's raining off and on and the roads are in a wretched condition, sightseeing would not be possible at all. It would be better to travel somewhere closer to Lucknow.

What is the best time to plan a holiday to Nainital?

Hiren, Nainital is good to visit through out the year, barring the monsoon months between July and September. It's pleasantly cool in the summers, and witnesses the magic of snowfall in the winters! For any other questions you may have, you can use the Got a Question feature below!
