about iccr auditorium

Founded to fulfil certain primary objectives of enriching India’s external cultural relations with other nations, and fostering better understanding and subsequent partnerships with other nations of the world, the ICCR is a body which aims at dispersing knowledge about the same. ICCR Auditorium, also known as Azad Bhavan Auditorium was founded in 1950 by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. It is an interesting spot for anyone fascinated with the arts and its forms, literature and its diversities.

One will be floored by the extensive collection of vernacular and other forms of literature that have emerged from the subsequent evolution of the literature, and the vast wealth of exclusive reservoirs that are in store here, including Rabindranath Tagore’s extensive collection of poetry, short stories and other works. Here, the cultural expanse that India has stashed away in every nook and corner is collaborated, brought together and represented, in the form of dance, drama, song, and other forms of performances.
