Poor value for high price
by Melodycobra on 09 Nov 2016 (Friends Traveller)
Very overpriced for what is provided. Breakfast buffet was nothing special. Reception staff were not knowledgable and rarely helpful. I had the feeling that no one wants to work there, they're all just biding their time until their shift is over. Rooms are okay but old, could use repair and painting---and don't expect hot water after 1pm. If I paid a budget price it would have been fine---as it is now, the hotel is a ripoff.
No Value for Money

This hotel is being run down! I think it has lost business to the competition. I think someone is sleeping on the job. I did not like my room at all. My first night, I saw a snail on the wall and had to request the room attendant to have a look and remove it. Water was not reliable in room 311. I had to ask for help in the morning to check if there was an issue with water supply. The location is good though. However, there is need for the management to evaluate their offerings and

We stayed there for 3 nights, and these were the worst nights of our visit to Africa. The first night, we arrived at the hotel very late and were exhausted. But when we turned the covers, we found the bedsheets had dirt stains. The bathroom is quite bad, with us honestly fearing the bathtub would break apart while we showered. The bell-bo...
Overpriced and old fashioned

We stayed for one night in July to start our Tanzaniaan trip. We were a party or two people and we we're both arriving at Kilimanjaro airport at different times overnight so we arranged for the hotel to pick us up and drive us to the hotel. Punctual airport pickups with no hassle but cost $50usd each for the 40 minute journey which did seem very overpriced. The staff at reception were friendly and particularly steph were very quick at replying to emails or enquiries. The hotel looks pretty run...

This hotel seemed dated and a bit tired. The staff seemed bored and uninterested. The food in the restaurant was not good, evident by the lack of people, nothing is clearly signed so finding the restaurant was not easy and the service was very slow. Breakfast was supposed to start at 5.30am, but when we turned up at 6am for an early start, nothing was ready. The bedroom seemed dated and air conditioning did not work. I would try elsewhere.
