India’s Second Private Train to Begin Operations in January 2020

Good news for passengers! The long-awaited IRCTC Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express is all set to begin operations from January 2020. It will operate for six days a week.


The new train will depart from Ahmedabad Junction Railway Station at 6.40 am and arrive at the Mumbai Central Railway Station at 1.10 pm. Likewise, it will depart from Mumbai Central Railway Station at 3.40 pm and reach Ahmedabad Junction Railway Station at 9.55 pm.

The train will have Executive as well as non-Executive coaches. Along with this, the train boasts of modern features like personalised reading lights, attendant call buttons, sliding doors, modular bio-toilets, mobile charging points, CCTV cameras, etc.


The fare for the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express is likely to be along the lines of the Shatabdi Express trains.
