- Functional since 8th June, 2014 (a year ago), the Mumbai Metro has today become the 8th densest network in the world. About 9.2 crore passengers have used the 12-km corridor already.

- The corridor of the Mumbai Metro has a water recycling plant that recycles around 4 lakh litres of water on a daily basis; this water is in turn used for cleaning trains.


- It is Asia’s first metro to have a real-time surveillance security system.

- Travelling through the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar stretch will not take 90 min anymore. Thanks to Mumbai’s new lifeline, which has reduced the travel time to 21 minutes ONLY!
