Is it a good time to visit Darjeeling in August?

One of the most delightful things to do during monsoons is sitting by a huge window or balcony and sipping a perfectly brewed hot cup of tea and when it comes to tea it surely can not get any better than Darjeeling tea. With its moderate weather coupled with a little rain, the hill town looks serene and the sound of raindrops falling over the cottages with the aroma of tea lingering in the air makes Darjeeling absolutely spectacular.

During monsoons sometimes the mist covers the entire place with a foggy white blanket and suddenly it is gone. Also, unlike the plains there is no water logging at all so it is amazing to take a walk in the rain or enjoy the moist roads afterwards. From exploring the spectacular hill tops to a walk in the lush green tea gardens there is still a lot to do in monsoons in August.

Although there would be rainfall, Darjeeling is still blessed with ample natural beauty and pleasant weather during August!
