Is it safe to travel to Darjeeling and Gangtok in rainy season?

1 person found this answer useful Useful ?Yes

If you are planning to visit Darjeeling and Gangtok during rainy seasons, you can happily do that as these are preferred tourist destinations in monsoons. The hill stations look all the more beautiful during monsoons and you won't face any difficulty while travelling to both these places. However, if you want to explore areas like Pelling and Kalimpong, we recommend you to avoid that as the hill stations are based at much higher altitude and due to this travelling could be a tough task.

So, its time to pack your bags and explore the beauty of these hill stations to the fullest!

It is better to go to darjeeling during thus time. Simply because in the case of a Landslide, Darjeeling has three different roads connecting it. So if one is closed the other are open and you wont get stuck.
