about johari bazaar

The oldest market in Jaipur, Johari Bazaar is the quintessential example of the Pink City, with all the shops painted in pink. Make your way to this busy marketplace and stock your bags with exquisite jewellery and textiles. The market sells Jaipuri blankets, organic dyed clothes, bangles and wooden handicrafts.

The wooden crafted miniature vintage car models sold in many shops here, make very interesting souvenirs. But, as the name suggests, Johri bazaar is especially famous for jewellery. Products of gold, silver, diamond and emerald can be found in almost every other shop. Kundan jewellery is very popular here. Visitors are advised to bargain before stocking their bags as the shopkeepers tend to quote higher prices to tourists.
