Loved it!

by 207pavin on 12 May 2016 (Family Traveller)

This place is a home away from home, for us. My family makes it a point to spend every New Years here. They absolutely love it!! It's an absolutely lovely place to unwind over a weekend. With all the privacy, the greenery, the great open spaces and here's the best part- tranquility! Adding to the experience are the amazing caretakers and of course the owner is very hospitable. Will I go there again? Hell ya!

This place is a joke

by Patricia P on 15 Aug 2015 (Family Traveller)

Twice confirmed reservation the last one week before, both ignored. Nobody was there, place was deserted and closed down. A homestay is not a place you open when commercially attractive, but a home which has guests staying at their place. Their is no family living over there. Karthik Mekangadde, the manager, avoiding our calls when arrived before a closed gate. Only open in high season or many paying guests?

Excellent retreat for a bunch of Friends.

Had been to Jenkal homestay with office colleagues. We were 8 guys in total and we had the whole villa for ourselves. The Homestay is located interior Sakleshpur and you would have to ask for directions to get there. The homestay people will be more than happy to guide you there. This makes a very good point for the Jenkal hill trek. We were provided with a guide from the homestay on our trek as well. The staff in the homestay are very courteous and friendly. More than happy to help you out...

Perennial Retreat

by coxgasm on 04 Aug 2014 (Friends Traveller)

We have visited 3 times already and we enjoy it best during Monsoon. Lady days with all day rain, best meals and cozy sleep. It will be great even during winter + you can go for a trek to nearby hills. Very scenic drive from Sakleshpur town. Food is really amazing here with great hospitality. Great place and even greater staff

by Nikhil J on 21 Jan 2014 (Friends Traveller)

Amazing place, we had the whole house to ourselves and the chef was simply brilliant. We were asked what we would like to have for each meal and every item was just delicious. It served as a great start point for our trek to Jenkal Gudda, the second highest peak in Karnataka. The price per head could be lowered a little but overall a great stay. Special mention to Raghu (Caretaker) and Hooanna (The chef not cook!), brilliant job.
