about johna falls

Falling from a majestic height of 140 feet, these beautiful falls are nature's best gift to those in and around Ranchi. The River Raru has its tributary, River Gunga hang over it to form these majestic, gushing falls.

You'll need to descend about 500 steps to fully take in the beauty of these falls. Also known as the Gautamdhara Falls, they're closely linked to the Buddhist culture in the area. A tourist resthouse close-by houses a Buddhist shrine, with an elegant statue of Gautam Buddha, where you can offer your prayers. A spiritually uplifiting, visually delightful experience, head here to make your souls soar!
