lovely facility

by casjazz on 01 Sep 2016 (Solo Traveller)

The former mansion of the banker Mendelssohn, rebuilt after bombing as a church, hotel, restaurant and youth hostel, St. Michaels is situated in a green neighbourhood west of the downtown, easily accessible by bus. It's ok, but could be better

by Teocelo on 19 Aug 2016 (Business Traveller)

I have experienced a very pleasant stay in this hotel. It is situated in quiet but nice part of Berlin, near lakes. The hotel founds itself in woodland-like surroundings. The rooms are simple, but tidy and cheap. Only unpleasant experience was with the cuisine, which is maybe too much senior oriented.

Simple but reasonable

by Frank D on 13 Dec 2013 (Friends Traveller)

The hotel is owned by the Lutheran Church and is correspondingly simple. Its rooms are fairly basic but nonetheless comfortable. Annoyingly, German legislation prohibits tea & coffee making facilities in the rooms. It is in a green leafy suburb, not far from the centre of the old West Berlin, but located some way away from the nearest bus stop, though there is plenty of parking space for those travelling by car. There is a bar in the hotel, but on the days I stayed there it was not available t...
