Nice & Comfortable Stay

by Sridhar P on 03 Jan 2016 (Family Traveller)

We travelled with two young kids and stayed in Kelta for 4 days (3 nights) in last week of December 2015. We found the stay nice and comfortable with staff very friendly. In particular, Carla was very helpful as she was able to accommodate for our special meal requests. Friendly staff, but the rooms are falling apart..

by RdeBruijn on 04 Dec 2015 (Family Traveller)

The hotel lobby looks nice, the outside from a distance as well, but the rooms are disintegrating. Heaters are not functioning any more, water is leaking, electricity is dangerous, blankets filthy etc. This is a pity, because the staff is really friendly and helpful and the breakfast is good! If they invest in the rooms it would be a great hotel!

Lovely lovely hotel

by monica771 on 24 Sep 2015 (Solo Traveller)

I stayed in this lovely hotel in March, the room where I stayed was vintage and cute. The owners of the hotel are absolutely adorable and friendly and the food is very good! . I hope to go there again one day. Send a lots of regards Monica (la italiana :) )

by Ania15Ania on 09 Feb 2015 (Family Traveller)

Kelta is unpretentious, decent, homely place to stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Meals delicous. Staff friendly and helpful. It's a bit far from city center (about 15 minutes walking), but if you don't like walking, there are taxis in the town, so it should not be a problem.

As other reviewers have mentioned, there are pluses and minuses to this place. Among the minuses I experienced was the location - it's a bit of a trek up the hill from the main town, nothing too bad but if you eat or drink anywhere north or east of the main strip (Libertador) you'll be faced with a 20 minute walk back to your room. Also, the radiator on my room was blazing away despite it being unseasonably warm in Calafate this week, and although they did "turn it down" I basically slept with t...
