Kolkata is splendid around this time of the year, what with the occasional spells of rain in the city. In a 4 day stay in Kolkata you can head to several places to visit in the city. Some of the most iconic places among these include the Victoria Memorial and the Howrah Bridge. You can enjoy a brilliant view of the Howrah Bridge from the ferry, when it is lit up during the evening.

Gangasagar is also known as Sagardwip. It is 135 kms away from Kolkata. It is one of the most famous Hindu pilgrimage spots in India. Here you can head to the famous lighthouse for fantastic panoramic views of the sunrise and sunset. The Kapil Muni Temple situated here is a very old temple and is flocked by devotees.

The Bakkhali Beach is close by from here. Frazerganj is another beautiful secluded beach at a short distance from here where you can head to for some peace and quiet. Bird watching is a popular tourist activity here. There is a popular annual fair held every year here known as the Gangasagar Pilgrimage and Fair.
