about kowloon park

Nestled in the bustling Tsim Sha Tsui area of Kowloon, the peaceful and lush Kowloon Park is a must-visit to escape from the concrete jungle! Up until 1970, the park used to be an army fortress. Once inside the park, you will feel as if a fresh water spring has washed over you and taken you away from the city. The park has a 200 m long sheltered walkway, perfect for a stroll even when the rains bless the city. Every Sunday, the park comes alive with splendid kung fu and lion dance performances. The Chinese Garden in the park offers the much needed relaxation and has a two-tier lotus pond linked with a rock cascade. Several terrapins dot this area, basking away in the sun! Swimming facility and sports centre is available at the park at a nominal cost.
