Kral Mert Hotel , Beyoglu

The hotel was cheap, clean and quite nice place to stay. The hotel location seems a bit unsafe from the beginning, but it is quite safe actually and close to many touristic places. Eminönü is just few second by walking. The stuff were extremely helpful and kind, especially Mr İbrahim. He was always in the lobby and gave some useful tips about İstanbul, where to go, how to go etc with a coupe of tea or coffee, like a friend. I wanted to spend some time in Istanbul near the centre but in typical Turkish district. I went through some travel guides and decided to go to Kucuk Pazar. And that was the best I could do! The most important pros of Kral Mert Hotel is it's location. The district is Turkish with great food, Gipsies and a lot of shops. Unfortunately Istanbul municipality want to revitalise that part of town and they will destroy it and build it from the scratch. Pity! But you still have a chance to come and see...

The hotel staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. It's close to a major metro stop and within easy walking distance of the spice baazar and ferry port at Eminonu. The area around seems is very safe and is not filled with tourists like other parts of the city, and therefore much less expensive. The rooms were cleaned everyday and Ibrahim was always around to talk with you over tea in the lobby. He even got us a cheap ride to the airport late at night for us to catch our midnight flight. This hotel is like feeling at home. Abrahim is really kind and helpful, he is always disposed to have a nice talk and give you advices about the city! The zone isn't the most beautiful, but it is quite close to some many sightseeing points.

Reasonable price for everything you need in Istanbul. 200 metres from metro station Halic and 400 from ferry station Eminonu. Ibrahim is very helpful guy. Located in street where everything is very cheap and available. See you again!
