Wondering what the Kutch Rann Mahotsav is all about? During the full moon nights of the winters amidst the awe-inspiring and contrasting landscape each year, a three month festive extravaganza brimming with hospitality, vigor and traditional flavor of the area is hosted, known as the Kutch Rann Mahotsav. Break free from your daily routine and be a part of the celebrations this year in the city of Kutch. If coming from Mumbai, then you can take a Mumbai to Kutch train and then a bus to reach this throbbing spot of all the happening during this event. Otherwise also, reaching Kutch is easy from other cities of India.

This year Kutch Rann Mahotsav starts from 1st December 2014 and ends on 5th March 2015. Although the main event takes place only for three days, the festival continues for a few months. This long carnival organized at the various locales within Kutch takes one around the natural grandiose while introducing the visitor to the indigenous cultural and ethnic flavor of the people. It also offers an opportunity for visitors to indulge in activities such as folk dance, cultural act shows, musical moments, live-in tents and camel safari among the host of iconic events. Things to do during Rann Utsav include a visit to Dholavira, Chhari Dhand, Mandavi Beach, Narayan Sarovar and many other attractions in the Kutch area.

A grand Tent City of 400 tents, consisting of both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned tents is set up on the outskirts of a bordering village of Dhorado in the Rann. If you are interested to visit the Kutch Rann Mahotsav 2014, then it is advisable to book a pass or inquire about it at least 2 months in advance. You could visit their official website to do so.

Kutch rann utsav is unique festivel in gujarat, india. There are around 8000 people visited at kutch utsav from all over the world.
