Good hotel. Very very clean and quite and peaceful. ... i liked staying for hours in tbe lobby to kill time and enjoy the quiteness. Overall the food was ok. Breakfast was good with good chefs ready to serve you and the waiters were very friendly.

This was my first time in Jordan. Things looked good as I got off the plane, but that was as good as it got. My cheap taxi to the hotel was double price compared to those who knew how to get there. Le Meridien was not up to the standard I've experienced in other cities, such as Dubai and Al Khobar in Saudi Arabia. The staff were miserable. My room was miserable. It looked over the swimming pool which would usually be a pleasure. Unfortunately the pool looked as though it HAD committed suicide.

"An oldie but a goodie"

After now staying in four different hotels in Amman I can say the Le Meridien is my 2nd preferred hotel and the only reason being is my preferred hotel is newly opened therefore of a newer and more modern design. Positives 1. Friendly and helpful check-in (with a small upgrade) 2. Luggage arrived to room within 5 minutes 3. Clean and spacious room 4. Nice breakfast, good selection of items to select, friendly chefs on Live Station (only room for improvement is to add a wider variety of fruit) ...

Not up to Meridian standards

by pvq2015 on 16 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

We were staying 4 nights at the Le Meridian. When we were checking in the receptionist extolled the cuisine of the Chinese & Italian restaurants. So we headed in the direction of the Italian Restaurant. It was closed as was the Chinese ! Apparently for a few months!! So we ate in Benihana. Next day we decided to try the coffee shop. Closed! Only open for breakfast. Not worth opening for the few guests in the hotel explained the receptionist. Only room service or Benihana. .... Heineken draught...

Good rooms, good food but no air cooling in winter

by Mary B on 12 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

This is what you would expect for this class of hotel, except that I am post menopausal and need it 18c or less to sleep. In winter the rooms are heated and at least 21c. I had a terrible night! And it is not cheap. Food is good. It today took ages for staff to admit they could not cool the room. Very frustrating. If you like warm bedrooms in winter, this hotel is fine!
