about le yogi

This cozy little café is located in a cushy corner of Mahabalipuram replete with earthy interiors and holding an extremely wholesome sea breeze charm. The fare on offer has a decidedly strong seafood theme, so expect loads of feisty fish, preening prawn and cajoling crab dishes. To start with, you could sample one of the salads, perhaps the crunchy Caesar's Salad which comes drenched in olive oil and subtle herbs. The Lemon Butter Prawns are said to be a favourite, while the crab is given a cheesey albeit deelish makeover. However, it is the grilled fish that really tantalizes, with its beautiful texture and flavour. And if you aren't the foodie types, there's standard Naan-Butter Masala and Biryani fare on offer that is hardly worth any mention. The food is fresh and fervent but the service apparently is not so. Locals crib that the place is more foreigner-friendly. But well, that again is a matter of luck, timing and perception.
