The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is the largest reflecting pools in Washington, D.C, located on the National Mall east of the Lincoln Memorial. It was constructed in 1922-23, following the dedication of the Lincoln Memorial. A 19-foot statue of Abraham Lincoln sitting on the Front Yard overlooks the Reflecting Pool and the Washington Monument. The rectangular pool is 2,028 feet long and 167 feet wide. The pool reflects the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and the rows of trees that line it's both sides. It remains beautifully lit up in the night, thus attracting a huge number of tourists.
