We cannot fault this place, beautiful house high up in the hills with amazing views and staff to match. Darwin, Bev, James , Samuel did everything they could to cater for our every need. Fresh food cooked to order each day. We ended up eating there everyday as Darwin and resident Chef Bev's was so good, the restaurant's food didn't compare. I would say just try and book early as the Sea View room is best, we only managed to get it for one night and it was stunning. They became friends and we wil...

We found this magical place by chance on the internet & were amazed that it had NO negative reviews..... Now we know why! Despite it being further up a hill than I expected & my wife having mobility issues, it didn't present a problem as the staff went over & above what was expected of them. Thank you Darwin, Sam, James & Beverly for an absolutely 1st Class experience. A mention to, to Lloyd, Lennox & all who don't work front of house as they don't get the recognition they deserve.... A boutique hotel that genuinely cares about you having a great stay. Great manager and staff team, lovely rooms, fantastic vistas and a great location for accessing the Cape and nearby bays. We stayed for Christmas and there were so many little touches that the hotel team added which just made it a really memorable stay and good value as well. Sincere thanks again for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

This is a super property with everything as described. Very friendly warm welcome from all staff as we met them. There was a lift so we did not have to carry the luggage up the stairs. Welcome snacks and drinks in the fridge also appreciated. Was great to stay here and then we got up and at 7am left to see the penguins at Boulders Bay when they first open, ahead of all the coach trips and then back for breakfast. Would have been great to stay another night but time did not allow. Next time!
Didn't know this kind of service still existed!

We stayed at Magellan's this past May - we were the only couple there at the time. There was one morning we had to leave at 330am to drive waaaay around the coast for shark diving (the sharks weren't in Simon's Town when we visited) and we told them the night before as we didn't want them getting up and cooking us breakfast only to discover we weren't there. The next morning as we were quietly making our way out all 3 of them greeted us with smiles on their faces and care packs of goodies for us...
