With astounding varieties of mangoes, the state of Jammu and Kashmir is the place to be this summer! Jammu alone is home to around 500 varieties of mangoes, each having its own taste and aroma. Uttar Pradesh

Fondly known as the “mango capital of India, Malihabad in Uttar Pradesh is the most famous mango growing region of Northern India. The place has some of the oldest mango orchards, with some dating back to around 200 years! Located approximately 25 km north-west of Lucknow, you’ll know you have arrived there when the first whiff of ripe mango aroma hits you!

West Bengal

Famous for the variety of mango grown in the Malda region, West Bengal is a hub for mango-lovers! The luscious Fazli, one of the most prized among mangoes, can weigh upto 1kg per piece. One of the most famous varieties of mangoes to come from Gujarat is the Kesar or Gujarat Kesari. This variety has a red tint on the upper side and is commonly used as an ingredient for Aamras. Characterized by strong fragrance, Kesar is found in households all over the city of Ahmedabad. The place is even more vibrant during the monsoons, making it the perfect getaway retreat!
