Ever stood somewhere and wondered how the place reminds you of another place you’ve been to because of something, big or small? Check out these places that act as memory triggers and take a trip around the world!

A visit to the Taj Mahal , one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is almost on everyone wishlist. This wonder in white marble is truly awe-inspiring. It is difficult not to be left amazed by the geometrical preciseness of the Taj. The central dome surrounded by four smaller domes and four elegant minarets is truly a remarkable example of perfect symmetry.

The flawless symmetry of the Taj will definitely remind you of the Blue Mosque, one of the famous attractions of Istanbul.

Notice the point on top of each minaret of the Blue Mosque? Doesn’t it remind you of the pointy top of the Big Ben clock tower in London?

The shape of this clock tower is very similar to the spire of the Empire State Building in New York.

Climb to the top of the Empire State Building and let the view take your breath away, an effect very similar to the one you experience while taking a spin on the Singapore Flyer, the world’s highest observation wheel.

The kid in us never really grows up and that is why when you’re on an observation wheel you just can’t help but think of the giant ferris wheel in Disney Land Paris, the one with the huge Mickey Mouse face in the centre.

Look down the ferris wheel and all the fun rides will remind you of the theme park at the Santa Monica Pier in California.

Step down the pier and let the white sandy beach take you virtually to the picturesque beaches of Mauritius, where a visit is all about the relaxation and maybe some under water sea diving?

When you’re underwater, you can’t help but think of the Underwater World in Pattaya, Bangkok where you feel so close to the world that lies down under.

Another place that instantly pops into your head when you're in an aquarium, is the Al Mahara Restaurant located on the Jumeirah Beach in Dubai, where you can dine with underwater views all around you!

Order from the wide selection of seafood and your taste buds are sure to remind you of Goa -- another fabulous destination to head to for out of this world seafood.
