Aru Valley, Jammu and Kashmir

Aru Valley makes for a picturesque chunk of the Kashmir valley surrounded by scenic beauty from all sides, appearing right out of a painting. The perfect place to park and start a long and thrilling trek or simply setting camp and soaking in natures beauty amidst peace and tranquility. Located just of NH 1A is is a must include in your road trips.

Kaza, Himachal Pradesh

Another place known for its peaceful and serene atmosphere, Kaza in Himachal Pradesh is sure to woo you with its charm. The Tangyud Monastery is a must see and you could also indulge in some trekking and camping activities in the region. It is though a high altitude cold desert the surroundings are so breathtaking that you’ll never want to leave. You should totally make sure that Kaza falls on your route while taking a road trip on NH - 21.

Nurmahal, Punjab

Located in the Jalandhar district of Punjab, Nurmahal is a sprawling town boasting of all the quintessential Punjabi cliches that almost always leave us in awe. The place where Mughal Empress Noor Jahan spent her childhood, a walk around the town is sure to take you to another time, one that was so much simpler and purer. The people are friendly and jovial ensuring that the smile from your face never sweeps off. A drive through the city at some point or the other must be on the cards.

Faridkot & Ferozepur, Punjab

While passing through the Faridkot & Ferozepur stretch you are sure to be pulled back into the past, with Ferozepur bearing stamps of the India - Pakistan partition all over the place. Faridkot in Punjab on the other hand is full of fields of wheat and mustard making the surroundings so beautiful that you can’t help but fall in love with India all over again. Located on NH - 15, if you want your road trip to be just a tad bit more interesting, you have to include this stretch.

Ajmer, Rajasthan

The patch of highway between Jaipur and Ajmer is sure to make you feel like you’re in a different country altogether.
