While we all have our own comfort foods, these most expensive dishes in the world take food to another pleasurable level. At $3.9 million the strawberry dessert at Arnaud's in New Orleans consists of a patented blend of bright-red red berries, vanilla ice cream, a port–red wine sauce, whipped cream, mint, and a 7 karat pink diamond ring.

At $25000, the Frrrozen Haute Chocolate ice cream sundae at Serendipity, New York contains a special blend of 28 cocoas, including 14 of the most expensive cocoas in the world. The sundae is mixed with five grams of 24 carat gold, topped with whipped cream, and more gold. The goblet is served with an 18 carat gold bracelet with 1 carat of diamonds in the bottom of the sundae and served with a golden spoon decorated with white chocolate and chocolate diamonds. It is topped with not an ordinary cherry but a $250 La Madeline au Truffe which is the most expensive piece of chocolate on earth. It blends two greatest joys to have together, savouring a decadent chocolate treat and enjoying the glitter of gold!

There is a miniature chocolate fisherman sculpture hanging onto a stilt and underneath him is an 80 carat aquamarine stone which comes complimentary with this dish which is not less than an artwork itself.
