Highgate Cemetery, North London, England

Looking like a movie scene from your favourite horror flick, the Highgate Cemetery in North London is an ideal place for ghost hunters. With creaky pathways, headless statues and random grass pavements, the cemetery is every inch of your typical haunted place you would like to explore once the sun sets for the day!

Aokigahara Forest, Japan

Situated at the base of Mount Fuji, this one is notorious for being the suicide point and has seen many people committing suicide from here. The dense forests have an eccentric feel to them and the visitors are advised to mark their trails so that they don't get lost on their way back.

Screaming Tunnel, Niagara Falls, Ontario

The story behind Screaming Tunnel is that there was a farm house located in close proximity to the tunnel and it caught fire one day. The cause of fire is still unknown and it is said that a young girl ran for help in the tunnel but unfortunately she died before receiving any help. The theory is that if anyone tries to lit a match in the tunnel, the spirit of that girl comes out screaming in the tunnel.

Bhangarh Fort, Rajasthan

One of the most famous haunted places in India, Bhangarh Fort is for the brave hearts. Legend has it that the place was cursed by a magician who had sanctioned the construction of the town on one condition, "The moment the shadows of your palaces touch me, the city shall be no more!" In ignorance, a descendant prince raised the palace to a height such that the shadow reached the forbidden place, thereby leading to the devastation of entire town.

Changi Beach, Singapore

This one was said to be the famous killing ground of the Chinese soldiers by the Japanese at the time of World War II. Legend has it this was the place where thousands of Chinese soldiers were killed and tortured and that you can still hear the weeping and screams of those who were killed in the war.
