Nice budget hotel at wangfujing area

by sinming75 on 23 Feb 2015

We stay for 3 nights here for our holiday. From the airport you could take taxi will cost you arround RMB 70. I arrive arround 9 pm. The location is strategic just need 1 min walk to wangfujing street where you can buy food or shopping. Also there's a travel agent just beside the lift. I use it to has a city tour to Great Wall and the price is cheaper than the others. RMB200/pax for 1 day tour.

Excellent location, but needs a revamp!

I didn't do much research about this place when I did the booking, but the room rates were pretty much attractive so I went ahead. It's quite a drive from the Airport, but you'll be pleasantly surprised to know that this place, despite the attractive rates, you are actually staying in the heart of the shopping district where all the big shopping malls are located. If you're game to try some exotic street food, the Dong Hua Men Night Market is just a short walk away. If you're looking to do attr...

Excellent value for money

by Pengilld on 14 Aug 2014

Friends booked this hotel for me as they were members (20% off). But, when i read the reviews on this site i was worried that I'd have to change hotels. I was pleasantly surprised to find it: . at a great location - a block away from the subway, the 103 bus stops just out the front and is the best way to get back from beihei park or the forbidden city, close to a decent coffee shop in the basement of the shopping centre on the corner of the mall; . clean - the bedding was good quality cotton a...

Don't speak Mandarin? You're screwed!

by MixedInChina on 06 May 2014 (Family Traveller)

Convenient location for western shopping and food, and Tian'anmen square. (tip: deng shi kou subway station is closer than wangfujing) Budget hotel, you get what you pay for! Knowing Mandarin is a plus and will make staying here better (My degree in Chinese saved our butts see below). At this hotel you can expect: -Comfortable twin beds (very impressive for China!) and blankets and pillow. King sized beds are usually iffy, as they are used for intimate paid encounters and may have broken sprin...

I stayed in this hole of a hotel for two nights, as soon as we set foot into it I could smell the mold and the poor, or better said lack of maintenance throughout the building. This place looks and smells like it has not been properly taken care of for many years. A very intense musty smell in our room, I was dying to open the window but it was -13 outside. The room seemed like it was just kind of wiped off with a rag before they gave it to us. The bathroom had a glass wall that connected to the...
