about muhammad shah tomb

Located in the sprawling area of Lodhi Gardens, Muhammad Shah Tomb is dedicated to Muhammad Shah IV, the last king of Sayyid dynasty. Built by Ala-ud-din Alam Shah in 1444 in the honour of the ruler, it is one of the remaining architectures of that period and holds a significant importance in Indian history. If we talk about its architecture, the monument is characterized by an octagonal chamber with bouquets on corners and chajjas on the roof which add charm to the whole look of monument. One of the earliest structures of garden, it is an important site of preservation.
