about mumbai deli

We ain't talking about Mumbai and the national capital Delhi here - it's Mumbai Deli, people! If you are looking for quick and hygienic meal options in Lower Parel, you might want to check out this new soup-salad-sandwich bar that largely caters to working professional in the area. Hop into this small (seats just over a dozen) eatery for lunch and you'll notice an interesting play of white and red colours, and photographs of Mumbai placed on walls that have been stamped with popular symbols of the city. First up on the menu is English breakfast that includes a variety of eggs, waffles, cereals, baked beans, sausages (but it's not served throughout the day.). The Soup of the Day (Vegetables and Barley) was served, unfortunately, lukewarm. However, the Mediterranean Salad with caramelized onions, bell peppers other exotic veggies quickly made up as it was delicious and worth every penny. The Jalapeno-Cilantro Mayo Sandwich, devoid of any jalapeno, had an overpowering taste of cilantro despite being stuffed with large chunks of grilled paneer (chicken variant available). The Tex-Mex Wrap helped break the repetitiveness of flavours on the menu. The coolers - Watermelon-Lime and Lemon Grass - barely lived up to their names and could be skipped. The self-service, disposable plates and crockery and tiny seating arrangements makes this place a better delivery or take away option.
