The gateway to Kerala

Head to Edappally area to spot the dome-shaped stone building that stores a well-maintained repertoire of information on Kerala’s history. It is elaborately depicted in miniatures that are lit up in a sound and light show as one walks around barefoot, listening to a short dialogue on each exhibit. The museum houses a small dolls display, a souvenir shop and a gallery. The clean toilets of the museum are a great respite compared to the public loos in the city. A lot of effort has gone in presentation and bringing together minute details by the Madhavan Nayar Foundation. The most fascinating part of the museum is the tickets, which are aesthetically done in the form of old palm leaves. Photography is not allowed
