how to reach national museum of china

The National Museum of China is located on the east side of Tian'an Men Square in Beijing. You can avail public transportation for different corner of the city to reach here. If you are taking the subway there are two routes to reach the museum. Subway Line 1 to Tiananmen East, from there the museum is to the south and Subway Line 2 to Qianmen, from where the museum is to the north.

One of the largest museum of the world, the National Museum of China was established in 2003 with an aim to educate the masses about the history and arts of China. The museum was closed for renovation and rebuilding in 2007 and reopened on March 1, 2011, as a result, the new one is two times larger than the previous one. There is a total of 48 exhibition halls which holds some of the most important historical objects of the country. The oldest display in the museum is the teeth of Yuanmou Man somewhat 1.7 million years ago. You can spend several hours here easily seeing the artifacts of the museum.
