Good marketing, awful reality
by Simon Y on 23 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)
Out of all the hotels we'd chosen on our road trip, this one looked one of the nicest. It turns out this was just clever marketing and choice photographs. The rooms were dark and smelt damp. Our window had been left open to try and rid the room of the smell, but even that didn't work. The bathrooms are tiny and the shower ended up being more like a tub as it didn't drain properly. If this wasn't enough, we were next to a room of people who thought appropriate to slam doors and scream and t...

So I have given a generous 2 because the gentleman on arrival was friendly and helpful and the beds were comfy. However this is where the good news ends!.. as part of our road trip we had booked similar budget motels/hotels this was by far the worse. The windows didn't shut properly and there was a big gap in the balcony door. So it was a very cold room. Not helped by the heater not working properly. We didn't complain ( our fault this wasn't sorted) However the two nights we did stay there was ...

Spacious room. Great location. Plenty of parking. Ant problem in the bathroom. It was not noticeable until checkout time where the ants were coming from - origin was the bathroom sink. Ewww. The size of the room and great location were too good to be true for the price range. The condition (walls, windows, carpet, flooring, lighting and fixtures were dated). The bathroom sink was odd not just because of the ants but the spout was unusually long and almost reached the end of the sink and so...
Adequate for the price

Expect to pay way too much in Santa Barbara. But if you're on a budget and can afford about $75 for a queen size bed, this place isn't too bad. It was fairly clean, however had a bad stain on a lamp shade and some hardware left on a bathroom wall. No fridge or microwave, but there was a hairdryer and coffee maker. Bathroom could have used a shelf for sundry items and room was painted with such dark colors that it felt like a "man cave. "But I feel we did OK for the price. BTW, The man at the fro...
Decent but not great
by Som12review on 17 Nov 2016 (Couple Traveller)
The room was comfortable but there were some tiny ants in the bathroom. The bed was decent but the Iron was poor. The back patio by the pool was a comical afterthought. The shower head was too low for me.
