Excellent and relaxing stay, but pathetic travel desk at POGH

by _baljitpau on 25 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

We have spent our one week holiday at RCI gold crown ‘Palace of Golden horses’, Mines, Kualalumpur. The resort was really very beautiful. Stay was very comfortable. Apartments were very big, airy and clean. Staff and service were very good, especially Mr Joe, Duty Manager was very nice, well behaving and humble person, who helped us like anything. Food was nice, but it was not comfortable for pure vegetarians like us. No other restaurants were available nearby. The only sick organ of the hotel w...

Grand, charming, inviting

by IncredibleJack on 23 Jan 2017 (Business Traveller)

Overnight stay for business trip. Good food and service from hotel staff. Place is huge and awesome. You can have your own space for quiet meals due to its huge size. Some places can do with better signage. Wifi connection good. Control panel for room lights take some getting used to. General manager was super attentive.

The condition of the room that I stayed in was extremely comfortable and I am very certain that I had a good night sleep. In the ...

by wenlync on 03 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

The pool during the Christmas week was just terrible! It was so dirty that I could see the grime and greenish fungus floating in the pool. To add on to that, the water was so cloudy that I had to pull my kids out from the pool. It was such a great disappointment to us. The swimming pool washroom was just as horrifying as the pool. A used sanitary pad was seen on the soap bar dish! The area around the pool was coated with green fungus and it was slippery and dangerous for people to walk around. ...

Bringing back old memories & making new ones

by AvidTraveller89 on 01 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

It's been 18 years since we last stayed in this hotel(our last stay was during the 1998 Commonwealth Games, if I'm not mistaken). Stayed a night in this hotel and was still one of the most memorable hotel in our life. It was a surprise stay for my mom since I told her that we were only here for the hi-tea at the carousel, which was wonderful. Really like to thank Ms.Shafina for the reservation arrangement and Ms.Fatimah for arranging and helping with the surprise stay, which my mom was really su...
