Great central hotel with lots of nice extras

Perfectly positioned for the Palace, opposite a park and almost next to an excellent juice bar, this is a great place to stay. It’s not even particularly expensive compared to the competition, and the terrace restaurant is a good place to have a beer and enjoy the live music in the evening, with excellent service - though breakfast wasn’t up to much. Didn't stay here, but had dinner twice which is a recommendation by itself. Nice terrace setting. Expensive by Indian standards, but cheap for us. Food was good and plentiful. Staff were very helpful, they stitched up a hole in my partner's bag for free while were eating.
Bad food, warm beer, unsanitary

Food was bland with no taste, and beer was served at room temperature. I had chicken - it was not cooked through and I got sick after having dinner there. Not even good value for money - I would not recommend eating there.
Not for older travellers

Booked into this place due to recommendations from Lonely Planet and Rough guide. Very disappointed with standard of cleanliness and breakfast which we could not eat. Didn't try other meals due to breakfast experience. Well positioned and cheap but that's about it.
Great central location

A quirky spacious and comfortable hotel. Well appointed rooms. Great location within walking distance to the main attractions. Balcony was a great place to watch the world go by.
We go to bed early so the live music each night becomes tiresome.
We stayed in the super deluxe room which provided more space and a balcony which we found worthwhile. Also the 4th floor is furthest from the bar and live music.
