Good affordable place to stay and relax

by Sebastian B on 20 Feb 2016 (Couple Traveller)

The spa was not too tempting, but the hosteria was cozy, affordable and well located. We stopped there after a really long day at "Los Alerces National Park" and got a room with two single beds, the only one available on demand, which was a little small, but very comfortable. Bathrooms were well kept, old but working. It does include breakfast. It does not have a cafeteria anymore, but they allow you to order food from delivery places and can provide you with dinnerware if necessary.

Way more than we expected!

We stayed there on a last minute reservation because our flight was canceled out of SF. We stayed there after a 3 hour taxi ride from Bariloche. The taxi driver tried to over charge us by $250 USD. The front desk couple heard this and called our group leader (from Bio Bio) who had already paid for the taxi and room. This simple act of kindness saved us a lot of cash while we were a long way from home. Our room was spotless and stocked with anything one would need. They even gave us a fantastic d...

This is an old hotel that has tried to update itself wit new paint and bathroom fixtures. Our room (no 15) was dark and had a tiny bath with leaky fixtures. It ad an old double bed and twin ed. No place to sit or move around. The "spa" was a sauna open 7-9 in the evening in the basement - maybe good for after ski? An empty hot tub. Breakfast was sparse with rationed orange juice and two croissants (mini sized) and toast. Pictures shown are misleading. There are better places in town.

no sleep due to noisy street

We stayed at this hostel for one night between. The location is good, directly at the main plaza. Hotel looks lovely from outside and also inside it is nice too. This is of corse not a boutique, nice hotel.. but they tried to to something nice. Our room was not that big, but everything we needed for one night. Everything was clean and nice. The big TV was a surprise, as on our long South America trip we never had a good TV in the room. Unfortunately the good location is the worst thing at nigh...

I am comming back!!

by snithiecarl on 25 Apr 2012

I ended up in Esquel after my car broke down, just to find out that it was going to be one of the highlights of my experience! I found the Plaza Esquel to br a very warm a place, with people (although not everyone could comminicate in English very well) willing to help me as much as they could. The room I stayed in was nice, clean and with a great bed! I also have to say that I was surpriased with the spa, as it was very clean and relaxing~ Thanks to the staff and we will seeing again soon!!
