its a magical place

Place which is quite what say unnoticed. Its pushkar the magical lake. Its feeling like.. one forgets all ones worries after cumng here According Hindu scriptures, Brahma saw a demon trying to kill his children and harassing people. He killed the demon with a lotus-flower. During the fight lotus petals fell on the ground at three places and springs emerged creating three lakes. When Brahma came down to the earth, he named the place where the flower (pushpa) fell from his hand (kar) as Pushkar. Taking swim in the holy lake assures salvation from all sins and it is now one of the five holiest centres of pilgrimage for Hindus. The lake is almost completely surrounded by more than 50 ghats giving access to the lake and where large numbers of pilgrims take a sacred bath. It is a pity that in order to enjoy the place one has to suffer an endless stream of beggars and so-called holy men selling rose petals etc

Definetly the highlight of Pushkar, we visited the lake at sunset and it was filled with ambiance and charm.Truly beautiful. Please remember, here you have to buy any flowers, they walk around the lake, but without shoes! A little further away from the main entrances it is quiet and peaceful and you can see the atmosphere of this wonderful place better enjoy Otherwise Pushkar a quiet place with many small shops and snack options. Quiet and peaceful . If you are planning to visit Pushkar lake that choose the winter season.especially the Pushkar fair time. Hope you will love this destination.
