The staff make this place

by Gary R on 24 Jan 2017 (Solo Traveller)

Spent nearly a week there as base for vacation. Rooms are tight compared to US standards, even in big cities; felt a little like a cruise cabin. The front desk and concierge lounge staff make this a place you'll want to return to. Knowledgeable, professional yet friendly, very helpful. The location is optimal. In back, you're literally on the beach. In front, the cafes and restaurants of Dizengoff & Bograshov are within a 10 minute walk. The hotel observes kosher law, so expect some curta...

Great location,delicious breakfas,slightly tired hotel

by rubyalexandra on 22 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times over 15 years. The location is fantastic. You go downstairs and literally walk onto the beach and promenade. The staff are lovely -particularly in the breakfast area and the lady greeting guests at the hotel entrance. The breakfast delicious and plentiful. On the down side is the state of the glass windows.A disgrace. There are large windows overlooking the beach in the bar area and the large breakfast room. They are dirty and give the hotel an unk...

Loved The Beach!

by BES09 on 21 Jan 2017 (Business Traveller)

The staff and location can't be beat. Did not have any issues but agree that the property has some "old" to it. Probably a 4.5 star rating. The view are good from all rooms but the I prefer "marina" views. The breakfast was excellent. The concierge lounge is a little below Marriott standards as it was small and the food, while good, was not high quality as other Marriott's. Again - the staff was EXCELLENT! Everyone was helpful, friendly and the breakfast crew remembered my preferences af...

This Renaissance is not your typical Marriott property. The executive rooms barely distinguish themselves from standard rooms. Example: one, yes one bottle of water for 4 days. The rooms are old and badly need an upgrade and sadly I believe this was done within the last few years. Nevertheless, the room rates are quite high but standard for Tel Aviv. Location is on the beach which allows the exorbitant pricing. Executive lounge is a definite so so. Small and usually crowded. Dinner snack as...

In need of some renovations

by GermanoF on 17 Jan 2017 (Business Traveller)

Let's start saying that this was my first hotel in Tel Aviv, so I cannot compare it with other accommodations in the area. Let me add that the terrible weather conditions didn't help enjoying the faboulous seaside with direct access from the hotel... but the hotel is located in a definitely "old" building and the rooms are in need of some re-decoration to make your staying memorable. The staff is nice and friendly and make everything possible to take care of the small issues in your rooms.
