Room basic, but spacious. We had a 2nd floor room in the annexe. Stunning view. Saw lots of kingfishers. Did some fishing. Relaxing holiday. Best money exchange is next door at Mr Veen. We bought milk from the shop near Mr Veen. We took a travel kettle and bought a travel adapter plug for 50p from the local shops. Ate out at Rasa Nicks, You and me, and Jamie’s. All excellent. Nice property with clean rooms and two pools and a big lake. Good place for leisurely walks a little away from the hustle bustle of tourist centre. The pricing the rooms was also quite reasonable.
However, the buffet breakfast was a big disappointment. The choices were limited and the items were not tasty and were not hot enough.

This is not a 3 star hotel, however that's mostly because it's very dated. The rooms are large airy and very clean. The grounds are 5 star and the ponds are good for fishing.(take strong tackle). There are large snapper and milkfish that will smash light tackle.
There are a couple of decent pools. We ate in and the food was quite good. The entertainment wasn't much good. Breakfast was limited but good(eggs to order anyway you like)

Just spent 2 weeks at Marinha Dourada. This is a quiter area than hotels situated at Baga Beach, and has a lake to one side and overlooks open area to the front.
Rooms are basic but very clean.
Clean sheets every other day. Fresh towels daily.
Refrigerator in the room which is stocked with bottled water/beer and soft drinks. Prices not exhorbitant for hotel type mini bar. 1 litre of water 30 rupees (about 35 pence).
Breakfast is limited compared to European standards, Indian selection plus corn...

Brilliant holiday!

Arrived in the early hours of New Year’s Eve, checkin was very straightforward. Room was spacious, basic but very clean and had everything we needed and was cleaned everyday.
Breakfast was limited but great and they did the best poached eggs ever! My husband always enjoyed the choice of savouries on offer!
Service through and through was excellent and the views of the lakes with the resident kingfishers were awesome.
