Terrific place

by KBofLB on 31 Oct 2016 (Friends Traveller)

We could not have wished for a better place to spend three nights at the start of our tour of Morocco. From the outside it looks plain but once inside it was a delight. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Our bathroom even led out onto a small private terrace. The staff were very helpful, even handing out pre-programmed mobile phones in case we got lost in the city. As well ad the courtyard there was a pleasant roof garden. The lack of motor vehicle access helped to keep external ...

Top quality service

by May Y on 30 Aug 2016 (Couple Traveller)

We stayed for 4 nights at the Riad Dar Zaouia round the corner from the main Riad Si Said. On arrival, we were taken to the courtyard to sit down with a glass of welcome lemon juice and biscuits whist we waited to check in. Guests were given mobile phones with preprogrammed numbers just in case we need help, which was a nice touch. I forgot to confirm some of the tours ahead of time and the front desk staff rang the tour operator to make sure that everything is organised. Unlike some of the ot...

Comfortable and charming

by Keith M on 22 Apr 2016 (Couple Traveller)

We stayed at the Angsana Riad Dar Zaoula for three nights at the start of a tour of Morocco. Situated right in the heart of the old town, just a short walk from the renowned Jemaa el Fna square, it is across the alley from the Palais Dar Si Said museum, and within walking distance of the Palais el Bahia and Palais el Badii. The riad was a real treat: comfortable and with so much culture and charm, it certainly was not the typical, clinical hotel so often experienced. With the alleyways too narro...

Wonderful welcoming riad

by PortsmouthLegaleagle on 26 May 2015 (Couple Traveller)

We stayed at the Riad as part of a tour and what a wonderful, authentic start to our tour this was. Our room was a reasonable size and had everything we needed for our stay. Meals were taken around the corner in a sister riad and were delicious. Simple, Moroccan food cooked with flair. The staff were very helpful especially as we had lost some of our luggage, and they did what they could to help us. We would definitely stay there again should we visit Marrakesh.
