Hampis Boulder Resort Review and Rating
#1 of 6 hotels in Hampi (307 reviews)
Great location and vastness plus the morning trails
by Onthemove029 on 14 Feb 2019 (Family Traveller)
Great out of the world location with isolated cottages at unique spots in the middle of wilderness.
A bit difficult to locate , even with GPS as no sign boards for directions.
Advance booking required , avoid peak times as the rates can be extremely high.
Good buffet breakfast at the central restaurant.
Great views from the rooms and decent comforts.
Do not miss morning trails to the boulders and waterfall.
Very interesting place

As we were driven out the dirt road to this resort my friend and I thought that our driver had made a wrong turn somewhere but we were pleasantly surprised to find that Hampi’s Boulders Resort is a very nice tranquil place in the middle of nowhere about 7 km form the Hampi ruins. The food was wholesome and delicious. I highly recomm...

Wonderful landscaping

This hotel has very interesting architecture. It makes very creative use of the large boulders which are found all over this region. Some of the rooms even have a facade that looks like a boulder. The Sunset room overlooks the river and has wonderful scenery. The swimming pool is in a very natural setting. Unfortunately the rooms are far apart and are quite a distance from the dining room, and they do not have room service. The place has been very aesthetically designed.

As many reviews have said, the hotels' cottages are set in a stunning location, around a river, amidst dramatic boulders, in an agricultural area, well off the beaten track. (I should say that it took us an hour each way by road to get to the ruins at Hampi). It's a one-off and should be little gem.
Our initial welcome and registration, however, was underwhelming, with little warmth in the greeting nor an introduction to the site, alth...

A great way to experience Hampi
by Amarjeet J on 12 Jan 2019 (Friends Traveller)
I booked my stay at Hampi Boulders through KOKOIndia who organised the trip - they are excellent and made everything very easy.
My stay at Hampi Boulders was also wonderful for several reasons. Firstly, the resort is very secluded and has idyllic views of the rock formations around Hampi (I'd particularly recommend sunset point). Secondly, its incredibly good value – the accommodation is very comfortable despite the rustic setting and dinner was a superb buffet at a reasonable price. Thirdly,...
