The restaurant is a jewel
by Jan O on 13 Dec 2017 (Friends Traveller)
This is a review of their Japanese restaurant which is sublime, a true treat for heart, mind and soul. The welcoming and the food is well worth the trip. The menu is slightly more expensive than the average restaurant inside Bodhgaya but it's more than worth it.
Felt like home

This amazing place is on my top 3 in one month traveling trough India. Clean, quiet, very affordable, pure air, staff treats you as you were family, amazing Indian food and macrobiotic food. Funny coincidence that me an my boyfriend were supposed to go to Delhi but got here first. The day we arrived my boyfriend got really sick and this place was just perfect to be cured and the staff took care of him. These good people deserve to be announced out loud. They are definitely doing a good job and I...

An oasis
by belgianguy1 on 15 Nov 2015 (Solo Traveller)
This peaceful guesthouse is situated in the fields in sujata, just outside bodhgaya proper, cross the bridge to get there, then first road to the right, till the sign... How nice to be in the middle of the fields and trees for a change, the dirty and noisy cities of India quickly become a distant memory here! Rooms are simple but clean, comfortable mattress and pillows, bathroom with all plumbing working...the price is right too, 800 for double or twin room, same room 400 for single use, 300 for...

Amazing place
by Ian C on 25 Sep 2015 (Friends Traveller)
We stayed here three nights and it was fantastic. The hosts were so friendly and helpful, telling us to treat the place as a home away from home. It's just outside of Bodh Gaya itself over the bridge meaning it's a very peaceful place to stay and you get amazing views of the Mahabodhi Temple from the balcony and roof. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Bodh Gaya and recommend it to all.
a great little place

Sachi Home is a great option to staying in the centre of Bodhgaya, located in the Sujata village, it is a few minutes walk away from Bodhgaya. They are part of a charity running different projects in the Sujata village, the projects are great and visits can be arranged. We were a group of 6 who stayed in the Sachi Home for 2 nights and would have no restriction in recommending it to anyone. Look out for Vikram, he is a star ;)
