about shree khandoba temple

Khandoba Temple is dedicated to Lord Khandoba, one of the primary gods worshipped in the states of Maharashtra and Karnataka. Also known as Khanderaya, Khanderao, Malhari Martand and Mailaralinga, Lord Khandoba is an incarnation of Shiva. He is a very popular deity in Maharashtra. Jejuri is the main centre of worship for Lord Khandoba.

The town has two fort-like temples dedicated to this God. The first temple is an ancient one called Kadepathar, which is difficult to access, and a newer, more popular one known as Gadkot Temple, which is much more easier to climb.
