Dalhousie is a serene and beautiful hill station in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It is an amazing base to travel to other smaller hill stations around this hill town like Chamba and Khajjiar.

However, if its just a one day trip to Dalhousie, travelling to places nearby might get a little hectic. So, lets look at the best way to spend an amazing day at this beautiful hill town.

Begin your day with at Dalhousie with a visit to Panchpula. It is one of the most popular places in the town and tourists flock here to enjoy the alluring beauty of this place. Panchpula means ‘five bridges’. The most popular thing about this place are the rippling streams and the gorgeous atmosphere.

On the way to Panchpula is the Satdhara falls. You can either opt to visit the falls on your way to Panchpula or on your way back. It is a gorgeous waterfall that is named after the seven springs in the region. The locals believe that the water from the spring has therapeutic powers and can heal diseases and ailments.

Coming back to the town by mid day you can make your pick among the various restaurants and have a delicious meal. Dawat restaurant and Kwality restaurant are few among the fine options here. Make sure to try out the Gulab Jamuns at Cafe Dalhousie, it will blow your mind!

In the afternoon you can visit the St. John's Church at Gandhi Chowk. It is a beautiful Protestant church that will remind you of the Victorian period. It is an elegant building that has great historical eminence.

You can end your day by a little bit of shopping at Gandhi Chowk and the Tibetan Handicrafts Center.
