Most Gulmarg holiday tour packages starts day 1 in the morning with an amazing Gondola ride to Kongdori from Gulmarg, which forms the phase 1 of the cable car rides. This is something you start with. As you keep going up in the Gondola, the beauty of this place is unfurled every moment. Managed by Jammu and Kashmir State Cable Car Corporations, the ride is divided into two sections. From Gulmarg you board the Gondola to Kongdori, this constitutes Phase 1, while phase 2 is from Kongdori to Apharwat. The majestic views of the lush hilly terrain and picturesque surroundings is truly a sight to behold. The ride also passess over Khilanmarg, a meadow adorned with colourful flowers.

Khilanmarg is the ideal place for Skiing. If you are here only for a day then it goes without saying that do not forget to indulge in the best of all snow adventure activity, building a snowman and skiing.

Situated at the foot of the twin 4511 m Apharwat peaks, this beautiful alpine lake remains frozen until June. The lake can be reached by a well-graded track on the back of a pony. Even when the lake has melted, you can still see it flecked with floating ice pieces. With the backdrop of alluring snow-capped peaks, it makes for an ideal picnic spot.
