about tambekar wada

A wooden four-storeyed structure,  Tambekar Wada  is a typical haveli. Once the residence of the Diwan of Vadodara, Bhau Tambekar, today, this haveli is under the protection of the Archaeological Survey of India. Out of the many rooms of the  haveli, only some are open for public viewing. Myths and legends will seem to come to live, as you stroll through the rooms. Colourful and intricately painted murals will welcome you. Stories and legends of the Mahabharata, especially those depicting the Hindu god, Krishna, as well as scenes from the war between the Marathas and the British, dating back to the 19th century, can be seen on the walls of this haveli. Do visit this place if your idea of a vacation to new place includes a tour of every nook and corner, which is related to art and culture.
