about telegraph island

Telegraph Island, popularly known as Jazirat al Maqlab, is a rocky island in the Musandam Peninsula region of Oman. Owing to a number of mind-blowing fjords, it is also sometimes referred to as Norway of the Middle East. This island is a reminder of the British Empire. Earlier in the 1870s, this island was deserted and tourists could only see ruins of the operator quarters and the repeater station. But nowadays it has become a prominent tourist attraction for historic tours and watersports.
