Rustic Experience

by Deepti01 on 14 Dec 2016 (Couple Traveller)

Peaceful quiet and elegant. Had a great 2 day at this hotel. You feel you are in a desert while the hotel provides all facilities required for a comfortable and fun stay. Great cottages with classy interiors. Good food and service. One can just sit on the lawn and read a book peacefully. And if you like to party there is a very ethnic looking bar as well. There is separate area for kids to play. You may just find a village lady painting some window in the morning. You can also meet the horse a...

Beautiful resort

by Lynn C on 10 Dec 2016 (Friends Traveller)

Located in picturesque countryside this resort it absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The rooms are well appointed, although our bathroom could have done with a little airconditioning. We had a small suite overlooking rural hills, the bungalows were beautiful, spacious and well decorated. A trip back in time. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Not a lot of English spoken but I don't speak Hindi either so my problem not theirs. Mandawa itself is worth a visit, to see the havelis an...

Village roundels within old Fort

by E B on 08 Dec 2016 (Couple Traveller)

Accommodation is in a number of village type roundels or huts within the fort. Our room had a seating area, comfortable bed, separate shower, toilet and dressing area. Great swimming pool. Outdoor seating area. Restaurant, seating area and bar. Local traders display handmade puppets, pictures, clothes and jewellery. Reception staff were good. Restaurant a little disorganised and catering more for groups than for individuals or couples. Buffet breakfast and large buffet dinner for groups. Ord...

Nice quiet place outside the busy city

by Larera on 26 Nov 2016 (Couple Traveller)

The hotel has rooms in a building but also small cabins outside. We did choose the cabin and it was very spacious, nice decorated. A lot of space and the bathroom had bath and separated shower. Very nice environment with a big garden and a small lake down the stairs with a lot of birds. Nice good swimming pool and it's very quiet because it's outside the city of Mandawa. Horse riding is offered by the hotel self. Wifi outside free and ok. Restaurant ok, Indian food and unfortunately only inside,...

Rural Rajasthan - Luxury setting

by t0mL0g0 on 25 Nov 2016 (Friends Traveller)

We arrived to a warm welcome with a great ceremony reception. It was a fabulous experience. The service was great, and we were upgraded to a deluxe mud hut as the resort wasn't very busy. The A/C room was really nice, different and very comfortable at the same time as spacious (actually big), circular reception room with empty mini bar and two sofas, circular bedroom with comfortable bed, large bathroom and big shower room. A little 'Disney-esque' but nice! Bar service was spot on and facilities...
