The Gateway Hotel Ambad , nashik

stayed one night with my extended family @ gateway taj and they have 2 types of room ,old wing which is 20 years old and the newly renovated room for 2 years . we has one room in old wing and 2 rooms in the new wing and though both rooms are good . breakfast and dinner area is very small and if the hotel is full , there never place for b/fast and dinner and they divert to basement which has a small spread . overall a good place ,but we paid very high price

A very well organised and friendly stay at Taj yet again. This time around it has been much better. The several activities at the hotel are one of its kind. The pool, saloon, studio, garden sit out and the restaurant are very well managed with courteous staff and clean environment. The room is spacious and I had some breathtaking views from the Westerly facing glass windows. The ethnic furniture lends an antique touch. The lawn is very good with ample parking space. Its a fine Taj Hotel with almost all the facilities of a Taj in any Metro. Where would I stay in Nasik if not for 'The Gateway'. Lets you settle in without worrying about your comfort, food and sleep. If you are in Nasik, this is where you must stay.

A friendly welcome at the reception including refreshing drink was already a nice promiss of a convenient stay. Check-in was very effective as well the check-out at departure. Dinner at the terasse was an experience of excellence and breakfast buffet offers whatever you think about.

Recently we had 1 night stay in The Gateway Ambad; we were group of 4 adult and 1 child and stayed in 2 rooms. The hotel was fully occupied as per feedback during checkin time. The property is great but if I can be blunt, service was lousy. We checked in at 3:30 and when asked for room service at 5:00 pm or so if required some 5-6 times calling reception & 24/7 before anyone replied. Similarly when tried later the night at around 10:00 pm for bottled water it again took few attempts to reach...
