We had over 25 rooms booked by our friends for four nights. 4-5 of them had to change rooms due to various issues like water leaking. Toilet not flushing, lights not working etc etc The pastry shop in the lobby does not open till 9am! So if you want something small, you have no choice but to go for breakfast upstairs. Location of the hotel is great in the Chowranghee area and next to the New Market. We stayed in the new wing which had 5 star facilities in the room. The hotel serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bengali dishes though good are very expensive. The bar and coffee shop are good. Staff at the hotel are very courteous and helpful.

Hotel is in excellent location which is probably the biggest plus point. We were in the hotel for 2 nights, first day we had 5 rooms and second day 7 rooms spread across different members of the family attending a wedding. Encountered a number of issue: 1. I had the unlucky honor to be your guest from January 31st till February 7th and I can't tell the stay was the worst I ever experienced so far. Starting from arrival I discovered that at the reception they don't change Euro with local currency, that's the first, and I assume only, hotel in the world that tell me that causing me issue to find a money changer in the new market.
