My husband and I wanted to return to this hotel for nostalgic reasons as we had been there nearly 30 years before. We booked and he spoke to a member of staff to confirm a week before, we also received email confirmation. We arrived Tuesday night at 6pm only to find the door locked, lights off and it would seem nobody at home! We tried calling the telephone number but no answer. My husband sent an email from his phone only to have it bounce back as the mailbox was full!!!! We had a dinner r...
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SQUAT HOUSE!
by Magdalena Anna L on 27 Nov 2016 (Couple Traveller)
So I booked this hotel through booking.com, they send me an email at 6.18pm confirming that my booking has been cancelled due to my card being declined. not too sure why it's been declined as there was money in it. I'm currently waiting for the bank to explain this. Anyway, I was on my way to Brighton without access to my emails so I arrived at the hotel to be informed that my room is gone. The owner of Prince regent hotel has said that she can give me another room but I would have to pay £95....

Great hotel opposite the beach and close to shops, pubs etc. Very reasonably priced. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely sized room with large kitchen area. Will definitely go back again. Car park outside which was well priced.
Paper thin walls

The good points are that the location is good with an underground car park opposite which takes the hassle out of parking. The room was very small and the bathroom even smaller. One towell for 2 people. Bed and pilows were lovely and comfortable but go no sleep due to the thin walls. Was woken up both nights by neighbours talking, not loudly just normal talking. Could even hear someone blow their nose at 4am! Wouldn't go again, no matter how nice a place is theres no point if you get no sleep. N...
Fantastic location, great value

This is a really nice little hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly. What I'd say mainly, is that the location is fantastic. Everything in Brighton is within walking distance of the hotel (shopping, nightlife, The Laines etc.) and you're a 2 minute walk from the beachfront too. Brighton's such a lovely friendly town, and you can make the most of it staying here. Recommended.
